We know they place great value in the effort to protect its beauty. So we make it our mission to provide safe public water for use by the inhabitants of the Boothbay Region while protecting the integrity of the land.
- We serve 3,300 customers and three municipalities with over 200 million gallons of drinking water to the people and businesses of Boothbay, Boothbay Harbor and Southport, Maine.
- We actively protect the watershed area of Adams Pond and Knickerbocker Lake. By preserving the natural environments and areas around these bodies of water, we limit the effects human development can have on the watershed and subsequent degradation of water quality.
- We follow strict water quality and withdrawal reporting guidelines to keep the public informed and follow Maine’s Natural Resources Protection Act. We were granted a Water Quality Award for the best tasting water for the disinfected water district category.
- Weekly water reports publicly display how much water was pulled from Knickerbocker Lake.
