$43K Grant for
Runoff & Erosion

Water District Awarded $43K for Watershed Work

In September 2016, Boothbay Region Water District was awarded a $43,300 grant under Section 319 of the Clean Water Act to remediate runoff and erosion problems in Adams Pond and Knickerbocker Lake watersheds.

The grant requires a local match of 40%, so the combined federal and local project will dedicate over $70K to fixing known non-point sources of pollution to both public water supplies.

The grant project is expected to take two years to complete.
