As part of our annual sampling regime as directed by the Maine Department of Health and Human Services, Center for Disease Control, we have completed and successfully passed our first round of PFOA/PFAS testing, evaluating our Knickerbocker Lake water reserve. Our results while utilizing Knickerbocker Lake show a level of 2.8 parts per trillion (ppt). The maximum contaminant level (MCL), or rather the highest concentration allowed for by law in drinking water is 20 ppt.
In early September we will complete our required annual PFOA/PFAS testing, evaluating Adams Pond as our water source and will report those results once available.
