Maine town scores top marks for its water quality

A panel of judges determined the best tasting water and ultimately determined two winners: one for disinfected and non-disinfected water. Boothbay Harbor took the prize for the disinfected water district category, but the winner of the tastiest non-disinfected water in the state of Maine went to Kingfield Water District. “It’s something special for me to be selected by my peers as having the best tasting water in the state of Maine. We had this happen to us in 2021 as well it was a fantastic time,” said Alan Stewart, the superintendent of the Kingfield Water District.
